Progress Michigan Stands with Planned Parenthood, Against Extremist Lies
Speaks out against attacks on health care provider
LANSING — Anti-choice activists have reached a new low with the release of another secretly recorded video that seeks to attack Planned Parenthood and go after the organization’s national funding. The videos being released have been heavily edited and the narrative they attempt to spin amounts to outright lies.
“Even for anti-choice extremists, this latest campaign against Planned Parenthood is a new low steeped in lies and deception,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director of Progress Michigan. “These extremists’ only goal is to prevent women across this state and country from having access to safe, affordable reproductive health care services. In their zeal against a woman’s ability to make her own reproductive decisions, they’re calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood, an organization that provides critical health screenings and contraceptive and abortion services to millions of women and men. Progress Michigan is proud to stand with Planned Parenthood against these deceitful and misleading attacks.”
