Lt. Gov. Calley Announces Support for Trump
LANSING — Progress Michigan released the following statement regarding Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley announcing his support for the presumptive GOP nominee for president, Donald Trump. Calley said supporting Trump was “not a tough choice” on MIRS News’ weekly podcast.
“Brian Calley throwing his support behind Donald Trump shows you how far the Snyder administration has veered off the road of decency since coming into office. Trump is a serial liar and narcissist who has attacked working women, people with special needs, immigrants and veterans,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director of Progress Michigan. “The Snyder administration’s strategy of running Michigan like a business has proven disastrous — just look at the childhood poverty rate, situation with DPS and the Flint Water Crisis — Trump’s running of America would be at best no better and more likely worse.”
