Michigan Chapter Sierra Club Development Director
The Development Director will work closely with the Chapter Director and key volunteer leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive program for fundraising to support the work of the Michigan Chapter. A particular emphasis will be placed on developing and expanding individual donor cultivation and solicitation. In addition, the Development Director will maintain and expand direct response solicitation techniques (including mail and on-line solicitations), foundation grants, events and other techniques. Also, the Development Director will ensure the chapter’s compliance with Sierra Club fundraising policies and with relevant grant and foundation requirements.
Alliance for Climate Protection Field Organizer
ork primarily involves grassroots and grass tops organizing on behalf of the Alliance for Climate Protection to advance the Alliance’s goal of educating the public about the causes of and solutions to climate change. Work will also involve a portion of time spent on activities for the Alliance’s sister non?profit corporation, the Climate Protection Action Fund, to advance its goal of promoting passage of strong federal climate change legislation during the current Congress.
Earthworks Education Coordinator
The Earthworks Education Coordinator is responsible for ongoing development of the program curriculum, supply acquisition, program preparation and implementation and program assessment. Additionally the Coordinator will be working in the gardens and kitchen with the youth in the program and will supervise one assistant and the volunteers.
