CNN asked Hoekstra if he found it hypocritical to show up for the groundbreaking of a plant he voted against by opposing funding through the federal Recovery Act. We had a few questions for Hoekstra, too. We wanted to ask about whether Hoekstra’s votes for huge tax breaks for Big Oil was the same thing–minus the Michigan jobs!
I’m not going to give away the ending – my little brother did that once when we were watching Gladiator together – but I’ll give you hint: it’s got all the crazy we’ve come to expect from extreme conservatives like Pete, who will rail against “turtle fences” but rubber stamp tax cuts for Big Oil with the same indignant fist.
