Bill Schuette Endorsed by Rock Star With Sordid History

Accepting endorsement of Nugent puts Schuette firmly in the Roy Moore wing of the Republican Party

MICHIGAN — Attorney General Bill Schuette is lauding the endorsement of controversial rocker Ted Nugent, showing he’s fine courting the support of people who have admitted to liking young girls. Schuette accepted the endorsement despite many other Republicans backing away from Judge Roy Moore for his history of child molestation.

“It’s pathetic that Bill Schuette sees Nugent as an ally when he has such a grotesque history. By Schuette accepting Nugent’s endorsement, Schuette is endorsing Nugent’s disgusting past,” said Lonnie Scott, executive director of Progress Michigan. “Bill Schuette touts his work on human trafficking but all of that rings hollow by joining arm in arm with an admitted sexual predator. Bill Schuette should disavow this endorsement or admit he is fine with Nugent and Roy Moore’s disgusting behavior.”

Ted Nugent has admitted to having sex with underage girls including a 17-year old he legally adopted in order to have sex with her. He has also written a song titled, “Jailbait” which features the following lyrics: “Well, I don’t care if you’re just 13, You look too good to be true, I just know that you’re probably clean…Jailbait you look fine, fine, fine…It’s quite alright, I asked your mama, Wait a minute, officer, Don’t put those handcuffs on me, Put them on her, and I’ll share her with you.”
